Remote Programming
Check the Sign ID you wish to communicate with
and then click Remote. When the on-board GSM cell modem connects it displays
the battery voltage; click OK; and then the window below
appears named 1TDO-625 (whatever is in the Sign ID data).
All commands are identical; when you click Close, the modem hangs
up.

Click Remote and Dialling appears followed by Connecting and Sign ID check;
and then Battery Voltage. Click OK; and DSC Sign ID window is ready.

Local Connection
Serial cable connecting notebook with sign (pins 2, 3, 5 pin to pin) allows Local control. Click on Local and then Tasks as shown below; click on Tasks to return to the Local window.
Local Programming
Click on Local and the local connection screen is displayed.

Slide boxes to the required Frame number (Rotary Switch positions 0
- 36) and your message is comprised of between 1 and 10 Pages.
Mark lines to blink, display left or right arrows, and edit the time
in seconds. This Local Connection window can be saved by clicking
Tasks then Save Preferences and will display these defaults on initial
window.
Click the message line and type your word (up to 8 characters),
always use the up/down arrow keys for next line. For the next page, just click on the Page
slider. When your message is complete, you may edit it by using the
Page slider. Click on Program and message has been loaded in sign.
Click on Monitor and the notebook will show what the sign is
displaying. Click Close to exit.
Initial Set-up
Windows based software making downloading messages fast, reliable, and simple. Double click DSC, enter your password and data base appears. Click on Tools, Edit Sign Data and complete details. Depot has a filter, and if checked, only signs at that Depot appear in the sign data base (as shown). Set up Com Options and User Password and you are ready for sign control. You only need to do it once; unless making changes or adding new signs.
Time Schedule
Complete an excel spreadsheet by double clicking Schedule .xls; complete the time(s) and date(s) for messages to display. Click Messages tab and write your text. Once the spreadsheet is saved, DSC enters all information automatically! 48 separate times and up to 24 separate messages can be entered and controlled from your notebook or PC.
